Suzanne Pleshette

SuzanneSuzanne Pleshette, born January 31, 1937, passed away on January 19 in 2008. She was an American film voice actress, TV and voice actor. Pleshette began her professional career in the theater, and she appeared in films towards the end of the 1950s. She was later featured in notable films like Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). Later, she appeared in numerous television shows and was frequently a guest actor. She played Emily Hartley in The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978 and received a number of Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. The parents of her were Jewish and were the children of emigrants from Russia and Austria-Hungary.Her mother was an artist and dancer who performed on stage under the name Geraldine Rivers. Her father was the stage manager in both the Paramount Theater and the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
