Alisyn Camerota
Alisyn Camerota is a journalist as well as an author, and is the anchor of CNN's morning program "New Day." She is a resident of Westport, CT, and was elected to Westport Country Playhouse's Board of trustees. Camerota, who has been an editor for more than 30 years, reported on news events across the globe and nationally. She won the Emmy Award in her early professional career for reporting on the arrest of Roger Stone and the Edward R.Murrow Award when she broke the news of the hurricane Maria. Johnna G. Torsone from Stamford was named an honorary board member following serving on the board for the past seven consecutive years. Anna Czekaj Farber, who is currently the chair of the Westport board after having served as a board member since 2013, also newly appointed as a board member. Czekaj Farber takes over from Barbara Streicker, a Westport resident who served as chairman of the board since 2015. She will continue her work on the board beginning in 2006. Board of trustees members include 26 people.
