Aura Garrido Sanchez an Spanish film and television actress. She's appeared in films as Stockholm as well as in the TV series El Ministerio Del Tiempo. Garrido is an Madrid native, born in 1989. Garrido's father Tomas Garrido is a composer and orchestra conductor, and their mother Pilar Sanchez is a painter. Following her first piano lesson at the age of four, she started to learn ballet. She can speak English thanks to having an English-speaking best friend growing up. Following the completion of her studies in high school, she enrolled herself in the Real Escuela Superior DE Arte Dramatico located in Madrid where she studied interpretive studies up to her third year, specializing in textual interpretation, but she pulled out of the program in 2010 because she was selected for the role in Planes para manana. Her role in this film earned her the Silver Biznaga and nominations for Goya Awards, including the top actress of the year.
